A 17-year-old boy, Philip Emmanuel, confesses to the brutal murder of his employer, Mrs. Adene Iyabode Deborah, in Ondo State, revealing disturbing details of the crime
A shocking confession has emerged from a 17-year-old boy, Philip Emmanuel, who has admitted to the brutal murder of his employer, Mrs. Adene Iyabode Deborah, a well-known caterer in Ondo State.
The gruesome details were revealed after Mrs. Adene was found dead in her apartment, her body bearing multiple stab wounds, and her head severed—a discovery that has sent shockwaves through the community.
Philip, who had been employed as Mrs. Adene's cook for five months, confessed to the crime during a parade at the Ondo Police headquarters.
The young man revealed that he was influenced by his accomplice, Precious, who had been employed as a driver just two months before the incident. According to Philip, it was Precious who persuaded him to commit the heinous act.
The motive for the murder, as revealed by Philip, was financial gain. Precious had overheard that N150,000 had been deposited into Mrs. Adene’s account and convinced Philip that they should kill her to steal the money. Despite initial reluctance, Philip eventually went along with the plan, resulting in the tragic death of Mrs. Adene.
In his own words, Philip stated: "I am here because I killed my madam. Last month, I have worked with her for five months. I was her cook. She just employed a driver who had only worked for two weeks.
One day, the driver came to me and said N150,000 just entered madam's account. He told me we should kill my madam and collect the money. I said I have not killed someone before."
Despite his claims that he was forced by Precious to carry out the murder, Philip's confession has highlighted the gruesome nature of the crime. The Ondo State Police are continuing their investigation into the case as the community mourns the loss of Mrs. Adene, a beloved figure known for her culinary skills.
The tragic incident serves as a grim reminder of the dangers that can lurk within seemingly ordinary relationships, and the profound impact such crimes have on families and communities.
