Reports state that Ukraine and Russia agreed, with Qatar's mediation, not to target energy infrastructure in early August. Russia allegedly broke this agreement after Ukrainian forces launched an offensive in the Kursk region




According to a recent report , Ukraine and Russia held secret talks mediated by Qatar in early August.

During these discussions, both parties agreed to refrain from striking each other's energy infrastructure, marking a significant moment of potential de-escalation in the ongoing conflict.

However, this fragile agreement was reportedly shattered when Russia resumed attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities following the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive in the Kursk region.
