Kamala Harris unveils her economic plan focusing on reducing the cost of living, banning overcharging for food, and creating an "opportunity economy" to ensure success for all.

During her speech today, Kamala Harris announced several reforms she will enact if she wins the election. All of them centered on the cost of living.

Despite steady labor force gains and economic growth, Harris acknowledged that "many Americans are not yet experiencing this progress in their daily lives" because their "costs are still too high."

Kamala Harris Unveils Economic Plan Focused on Reducing Living Costs

Harris, as we previously reported, intends to ban retailers from unreasonably overcharging for food. How this will be implemented is still unclear.

Harris promised to build what she called an "opportunity economy" in the future. In brief, its essence is to reduce bureaucratic obstacles to building one's business. Harris added that with such an economy, everyone will be able to succeed, no matter who they are or where they start their journey from.
